2006 Santa Cruz Nomad $2,400

It's plain and simple folks. Here Santa Cruz has got two bikes for the price of one. On one hand, Santa Cruz has a peach of a trail bike that will allow full immersion in your masochistic love affair with the climb without any bothersome bobbing or mushy feeling. On the other hand, they've got a rip-roaring, died-in-the-wool freeride bike that will devour any rock garden or log-drop like hotdogs at a Coney Island eating competition. Proudly possessing a full 165mm of rear wheel travel, room for a front derailleur, and a QR-ready rear drop out, you won't know if you're Mark Weir climbing, or Mark Weir descending.

The bike is in excellent shape. It does not have more than 100 miles. I do not ride as much now and its too nice to keep it sitting in the garage. It gets plenty of compliments everywhere I go. It climbs like a goat and descends like a motorcross bike. There is one small dent on the downtube that barely showed up in the picture. It is purely cosmetic and does not affect the functionality of the bike.

Loaded with only the best components:

  • Fox 36 Talas RC2 150mm
  • Fox DHX 5 Air
  • 165mm rear wheel travel
  • Custom butted 6069/6061 tubeset
  • Up to 180mm dual crown fork
  • Replaceable dropout
  • VPP Suspension
  • Disc only
  • Rear Shock: Fox DHX 5 Air
  • Front Shock: Fox 36 Talas RC2

Check out the specification below this is cut and paste directly from Specilized's site.

The MSRP is $2,800

The 08 bikes will soon be in the stores and I would think you can get $200 - $300 off on the 07 models.

2007 BigHit FSR III
www.specialized.com

BigHit models are purpose-built for breaking boundaries and, well, going a little too far. Occasionally, it occurs to you that perhaps this whole thing isn't such a good idea? The body armor, the full-face helmet, the family-size bottle of Advil. Yes, dropping off cliffs, rolling down lines that have never been rolled, recycling fallen timber into a launch pad-it can all take a toll. And when it does, you need something built for going too far. That's why we've designed every BigHit model to be solid and dependable, especially when you're entering new territory. Thanks to stable handling and the ultimate in suspension technology, BigHit models are purpose-built for bringing you back safe, even when you've gone a little too far.
